The Crunch and Munch Group meets every week, and is open to all ages.

It is run by Audlem and District Community Action, in partnership with Hankelow Methodist Church.

Pop in for a coffee, chat and relaxation

Light lunches are available, and everyone is most welcome to come along.

See Dates for your diary for dates and times.

Hankelow Amenities Group

The purpose of the Hankelow Amenities Group is to run events, principally but not solely, for the benefit of the residents of Hankelow and local charities.

Amongst the events run by the Group are the Village Fete, an Autumn Supper, Carols on the Green, and free coach trips to local gardens such as Hodnet. The Group also publishes a calendar containing local scenes.

The Amenities Group normally meets at 7.30 p.m. in Hankelow Methodist Chapel schoolroom. The date of the next meeting can be found in the Dates for your diary section.

New faces and ideas are always welcome, so don't hesitate to come along if you feel you'd like to contribute to the Group.

If you'd like to help with the activities of the Group, but don't like attending meetings, please phone Val Morrey on 811930 to discuss with her how you feel you can contribute.

The Group has produced the following Annual Reports :-

Second Helpings

"Second Helpings" is a Christian men's breakfast held once a month (usually the second Saturday) from 8.15 a.m. to 9.30 a.m. at Dorothy Clive Gardens.

Attending a meeting costs £8. This includes a full English breakfast and there is usually a speaker. All men are welcome.

Pre-booking for catering purposes is required. Please contact Alan Draper on 812960 or Dave Roberts on 811603 if you would like to attend.

Tuesday Day Club

Tuesday Day Club is held each week between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. in Audlem Public Hall Annex, with transport provided by our voluntary drivers if necessary.

The Club provides a range of social activities for older people including visiting speakers and musical events. A freshly cooked lunch is also provided.

To refer yourself or a family member please contact Tracey Humphries on 07845 495973

Oil painting classes

Oil painting classes are held fortnightly on Saturday mornings between 10 a.m. and noon in the Community Room of Hankelow Methodist Church.

The classes cost £5 each and you'll need to supply your own oil paints, brushes etc.

All levels of ability are very welcome as there's a strong emphasis on having fun, making friends and learning a little about painting.

For further information, please email Dave Barber at: djia56@btinternet.com or call 07846-045830

The class also has a Facebook group called "Hankelow Painters" which interested people can request to join.
